A UV flashlight pet urine detector that uses ultraviolet wavelengths to make dried, invisible pet urine salts and proteins glow on carpets, rugs, and floors.

How to Use a UV Flashlight for Urine Detection

• Darken the room: Turn off all lights and close curtains so the area is as dark as possible.

• Hold close: Keep the flashlight about 1 to 2 feet away from the carpet, walls, or furniture.

• Look for the glow: Dried pet urine typically glows a distinct neon yellow, green, or bright/pale neon color against the floor.

• Mark and treat: Mark the area with chalk for example marking at least 2" around the visible area. Spot-treat the glowing areas immediately with an enzymatic cleaner to break down the odor crystals.
